Scope

The Seawoods Grand Central is a gigantic development consisting of four office towers, a large shopping mall and a railway station! FG is the primary glass supplier to this project and several glass types were used in various applications. The building curtain wall is clad with FG CLIMACOOL PRO-1 glass made with Saint Gobain KT140 single silver low-E MSVD coating, and over 50,000 square meters of insulated glass panels are glazed here. The striking feature of the mall architecture is a set of five elliptical skylights - a large central dome surrounded by four smaller ones. These CLIMACOOL PRO-1 units continue the use of the KT140 coating, but also use ENAMELITE ceramic frits in a bold dotted pattern to obscure the direct glare from sunlight and also have a better shading coefficient. Other FG installations include GLASSHIELD FIRST and CLARITY glasses for shopfronts and LAMISECURE STANDARD FIRST glasses for railings.
