FG Solution – Glass Specification for Oberoi Sky City Mall

This project was executed exactly as per the client’s requirement for Oberoi Sky City Mall. The client needed high-strength walkable glass panels with an anti-skid surface to ensure safety for public use.

We delivered laminated glass in a 10mm + 10mm + 10mm configuration with translucent sentry interlayers — providing high load-bearing capacity, public safety, and a frosted appearance to obscure the view below.

A special dot-patterned top surface was applied to provide slip resistance even under wet conditions, aligning with safety standards for high-footfall zones.

Glass Configuration

• Glass A: 10mm Clear Toughened Glass (HST) with anti-skid treatment on the outer surface for durability and clarity.
• Glass B: 10mm Clear Heat-Strengthened Glass with ceramic print on the inner surface, designed per client specifications.
• Glass C: 10mm Clear Heat-Strengthened Glass with ceramic dots on the inner surface, tapered for design flexibility and performance.

Slip Resistance Testing

• Used our in-house antiskid testing machine to ensure compliance with slip resistance norms.
• Performed on-site Coefficient of Friction (COF) testing post-installation on the dot-patterned surface.
• Verified safety under wet and dry conditions.

The Challenge

• Perfect design alignment across three glass layers during lamination was critical.
• Misalignment would disrupt pattern uniformity and visual appeal.
• Required extreme precision during printing, handling, and thermal processing.
