When we started operations in 2004, FG Glass was one of fourteen companies all over India that produced processed glass dedicated to the architectural industry. That’s fourteen companies in a country of nearly one billion people! Inevitably the demand-supply gap was waiting to be filled.

The last decade and a half has seen a nearly twenty-fold increase in capacities, fueled by an even greater increase in demand. With more than 250 plants in operation today and new plants being established at an even faster pace, the question then is how do we stand apart? What makes us different? And most importantly, why should you choose to work with us?

The answer to these questions lies in the seen and perhaps more importantly the unseen. You could appreciate the visibly superior quality and product finishing – a direct result of our ultra-modern infrastructure and the efforts

of our experienced team. Or then simply come over to our facility and check out those invisible but supremely important details – our uncompromising use of only branded and top-notch raw materials, our cutting-edge IT setup that allows you to track your order on demand, one of the youngest machinery in the country and our unrelenting passion for perfection.

So, whether it is quality, originality, innovation, convenience and satisfaction, we believe these are yours to be provided, not demanded. And that gets us to one simple binding thought, a thought that provides us motivation to better ourselves each day, that is a privilege to strive for every moment of our lives and one that all of us at FG hope you will gladly acknowledge  – #SirfFG!

Our journey begins! In a 100 square feet shop in Mumbai and by delivering glass on bicycles.
Humble beginnings but great aspirations - Fishfa Group is established.

We start importing India's first float glass from Europe, a massive step forward in an industry dominated by lower-quality sheet glass.
Ahead of its time? Maybe, but it's better to bring in the future, rather than clinging on to the present!

We introduce glass blocks to Indian architecture Aesthetically superior to conventional bricks, these new-age blocks are lapped up quickly by architects, developers and interior decorators.
Soon, Fishfa Glass becomes the de-facto choice for glass blocks all over India.

In keeping with our now expected trend of new product introduction, we start importing low-iron glass from Europe. Soon our name becomes synonymous with extra clear glass all over the country.

We set up a mega warehouse to stock and sell our industry-leading range of flat glass and glass blocks.
No more wait times, you now get what you want, instantly!

Its manufacturing time! We set up a tempering and insulating unit on the outskirts of Mumbai and in close proximity to the country's largest sea-port.
Fishfa's legacy of technological superiority, transparent work ethics and uncompromising quality continue.

It's raining certifications! The ISO 9001:2000 for our production and quality systems, ARAI for automotive safety glass and validation of high-performance coatings from Saint-Gobain (Planitherm and KT series).
We also become a founding member of the Federation of Safety Glass (FOSG) which is India's largest processed glass association.
Our first corporate office in Mumbai is set up.

In three short years, we plan and execute our first factory expansion. Considering the increasing demand of safety glass, we commence operations of PVB laminated glasses.

Also added are fully automated glass handling systems, and in doing so become India’s only company with these systems.

In May of 2007 we are certified by DuPont for process of SentryPlus™ laminated glasses, a truly remarkable achievement!

Our second factory expansion! With order flow increasing by the day, we add the latest German cutting assembly, a CNC-seaming system from Italy and India’s fastest tempering furnace from Uniglass, Finland - with a patented forced top-and-bottom convection.

In June 2008, we collaborate with America’s largest glass company, PPG and become their International Certified Fabricator (ICFP) for processing the world-renowned Solarban range of low-E glasses. We also execute South Asia’s first triple-silver low-E glass project in Mumbai.

We add Pilkington’s Suncool™ series, AGC’s Stopray™ series and Asahi India’s Ecosense series of high-performance low-E glasses to our long list of glass certifications and in doing so, become India’s largest processor of high-performance low-E glass.
Asian Prelam Industries is set up.

Our foray into the wooden furniture industry and how! We break the existing Indian monotony of using cheaper equipment and install the country’s first and most advanced short-cycle press line from Wemhoner, Germany.

And it pays off quickly! In no time we become Western India’s largest supplier of prelaminated boards to modular furniture manufacturers.

We receive the ISO 9001:2008 certification for quality systems.
In recognition of our superb export performance, we receive the coveted Export House certificate in April 2011 from the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India validating our project footprint in over 35 countries.

We become South Asia’s exclusive processor and distributor of SCHOTT’s fire-rated and architectural glass products.

Its time for our third expansion! With the existing facility running out of space we set up a massive warehouse in close proximity to support our processing operations.

With an additional fifty thousand square feet added along with a robotic sealing equipped insulating glass line from Lisec Austria, our operations are set for a giant leap in capacities and quality.

Asian Prelam collaborates with EGGER and Roma for distribution of their edge-bands to furniture producers.

A perfect complement to our prelaminated board series, its a move that’s an instant hit with our customers!

FG undertakes its fourth capacity expansion! We add a magnetic-drive controlled cutting line from Germany and a super-quick seaming and washing system to create an integrated pre-processing setup, increasing our capacity by 30%. Calling out to all developers - we are ready for more!

We integrate all our company office operations and move into a swanky new office space in Lower Parel, the most-sought after business and residential address in Mumbai!

One of our most exciting times with several new developments! CreativFish is born - a design firm specializing in brand identity and marketing. Passion finally finds its voice as a business entity!

FG undertakes further expansion - our biggest yet. A complete overhaul of our pre-processing and handling, West India’s first digital printing line and a jumbo tempering line capable of processing glass size up to 3000 mm X 6000 mm! Capacity and capability is no longer an impediment to growth.
